I was able to change the default background color for ALL emails, and once I was able to change the text color for ALL emails, but couldn’t change it again. When I DO select that option, only black text is allowed. Use reader’s default colors is not selected. Not able to get my desired results though. The only config parameters that look potentially helpful are when I select Settings from the Thunderbird menu, then look at HTML Style. Unable to find any Display settings area. Or anything else on the Tools menu that looks helpful.

Running TB V 102.3.2 (64-bit) on Mac OS Monterey V 12.6. I attempt to change colors while writing a new email, or replying to an existing email, using the normal UI controls, the color icons on the tool bar for the window pertaining to the email which I’m writing, but the colors in the text area don’t change when I continue typing in the email window.Ĭhanging color for ALL emails is not what I’m trying to do. Have a new Mac now, color changes to text and/or background in the email itself no longer works. I used to be able to do this on my older system. Unable to change text color in current email within Thunderbird V102.3.2
